PCR Testing for COVID-19

Free NHS COVID testing has now ended for most people. You can still order a free NHS COVID test if you are eligible.

NHS PCR test result

If you did a PCR test from the NHS, you might get your result the next day, but it may take up to 3 days.

You’ll usually get a text or email with your result when it’s ready.

If you did an NHS PCR test and have not got your test result after 5 days, call 119 (free from mobiles).
